Stuck between your ears

If I have to work with someone who is stuck between his ears, I then refer to the body itself: feeling what you feel, hearing what you hear, seeing what you see, smelling what you smell and tasting what you taste. Let the observer be the observed. Simply shifting the attention directly to the body. The body is already here and now, the body already experiences. So which experience comes to you first and then… and then and then?
Sensory awareness then works as a kind of crowbar: leaving the tower between your ears.

No way No guru

I have absolutely nothing to do with a method and guru to the Truth. But you may find it useful along the way, if you are really stuck. When you catch your breath, let go of the method and guru! They will definitely stand in your way. Freedom precedes freedom. The Truth will set you free.

Why choiceless awareness?

Why choiceless awareness?
People with self-hatred are in conflict with themselves: I-and-myself.
In this, the person and the observer of the person are different, that is how it is viewed.
The observer who judges the own person. That is of course split.
In this way, there is no question of choiceless awareness.
Only when it is seen directly, without any doubt, that the person and the observer are not different but one and the same, will there be an inner transformation and choiceless awareness will be the case.

After ‘I am’

Wonderfully one-sided. Wonderful that navel-gazing of those so-called spiritual teachers.
After ‘I am’ comes the person again.
Like the Ten Bulls from Zen.
After finding the bull, you go back to the world, you go back to the market.
You are the world that you perceive: there is no self. Because that is just navel-gazing.
Yes, you are That (Brahman) but also the person. And if you see and understand that directly, they cancel each other out! And there will be an inner transformation. Yes, then and only then will there be choiceless awareness.

Self-knowledge

Self-knowledge is not about ideas, concepts and philosophies.
Self-knowledge is not about gurus and methods.
Self-knowledge is not about psychologists and pills.

Self-knowledge is about this moment where you are.
Immediately seeing who and what you are without any judgement.
Self-knowledge is about inner transformation without the help of anyone or anything other than direct seeing and understanding itself.

Is it true that you only have two choices…

Is it true that you only have two choices: to control your thinking or to be controlled by your thinking?

That is incorrect.
Why?
Only when there is an inner split (the observer and the observed) is there a desire to control your thinking.
The observer is equal to your thinking and when you see that directly, the inner conflict disappears. There is nothing left to control and no one can be dominated.
You are the world that you observe. In that lies inner peace.
There is no ‘you(r)’.

People cling to the idea of consciousness as the only reality…

People cling to the idea of consciousness as the only reality, other people do so with love.
But clinging is a reference to fear, fear of death, the end of your existence.

But there is no self and life, there is only life, that which you perceive, and life in reality has no beginning and end. It does know change, in its infinity of existence. But life is life and you are that.
But as I-and-life you have gone in search of something to hold on to! Eternity in terms such as consciousness, love, God, etc.
But in that lies only ignorance and fear.
Yes, you are consciousness and love but also that which is mortal and limited. You are the world that you perceive. The observer and the perceived are not two but one and the same. There is no fear in that, there is no inner conflict.
Yes, you are everything.
